Caribbean Fashion Extravanganza -- Labor Day 2011

Ethel Fashion will be hosting its second annual Caribbean Extravaganza on Saturday, September 3 in Brooklyn, New York.


From 6 to 10 p.m. at Friends of Crown Heights - Rooftop at 671 Prospect Place between Bedford and Franklin Avenue, the event will kick off the Labor Day weekend with designs that celebrate the pride and talent out of the numerous Caribbean countries and islands.


Models will rip the catwalk in original garments from St. Vincent and the Grenadines designers Tamiko Browne, Alicia Dewar, Karen De Freitas Fraser, Clayton Foster, Kimya Glasgow, Cheake Findley, Patricia Reddock. Donna Weekes of Ethel Fashion.


Bernadette Bedeau, Patrice Goodluck, Dexter John and Gail Lynch will clad models on the runway in artistry that represents the birthplace of Soca, Trinidad and Tobago.


From the land of many waters, Guyana, models will strut their stuff in the creativity of Donnett Brotherson, Monica Caleb and Vashti E. Harlequin.


Also present that evening will be Grenada's Shanti Vincent, St. Kitts and Nevis' Esther Brooks, St.Crox's Adisa Christopher and Jamaica's Anthony Shae.


As the show progresses, guests can expect several special appearances and live performances.


Admission is $25.00. Tickets can be purchased at Conrad Bakery, 299 Utica Avenue and Union Street, or online via pay pal.


The Caribbean Extravaganza will be followed by the third annual Blanc sur Blank, a midnight all-white boat ride on Sunday, September 4.


Hosted by Ethel Fashion's swimsuit models, the New York Princess will begin boarding at 11p.m at Emmons Avenue, Pier 8, Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, New York.


The boat ride will include Breakfast at Vee Jay's Restaurant and Caribbean and Japanese cuisine for dinner.


As guests enjoy the festivities they will be in the company of Hot 97 SVG's 2 Kool Chris, Yung Hova, Justin Miller, Jay B the entertainer and surprise guest artists.
