New Yorkers like people-watching. New Yorkers like live entertainment. New Yorkers like exotic lounges in Greenwich Village. Fashion Fête, a pre-Independence Day party at Le Souk Lounge and Restaurant, 510 LaGuardia Place, in Greenwich Village on June 30, 2011 will roll all of the standard NYC likes into one event with a bit of a business twist.
Presented by NEWD Magazine, Pampered Kisses and Zion Society/The Vision 3 Group, Fashion Fête will use fashion as a backdrop to spotlight NYC/NJ area entrepreneurs who use Biblically-based principles to conduct business.
From a Harlem spa-owner or a Bronx African designer to Long Island's best Zumba instructor or Jersey's finest branding/promotions company, each business sponsor of Fashion Fête serves up a quality product or service with integrity, honesty and genuine kindness taught by their adherence to the Holy Scriptures.
"There are so many Christian small businesses in the area who are professionally-run, but don't receive the recognition they deserve," said Wardell Duncan, CEO of Zion Society/The Vision 3 Group, a multi-level entertainment services company that spearheads NY/NJ's hottest Christian Club - Club Zion. "We want to provide an opportunity for Christian business owners to network, enjoy an evening of fashion and music and gain both recognition and patronage from a mainstream market."
The event, to be hosted by NEWD's Managing Editor Tiffani Knowles, will feature fashion show scenes creatively fused with live music and spoken word performances. Local and international designers include House of Renee, Aya Morrison Fashions, Tear Drops of Elegance, Ethel Fashion, JK Fashion and Enterprise and Pauline Asmah Designs.
Other event components include a live DJ, tasty Moroccan dishes, giveaways, speed networking, business showcase and spotlight and dancing.
Additional participating business sponsors include: Bea's Royal Salon and Spa, NIkeo Music Group, Cheek2Cheek Design, DJ Rev Drizza, Zumba with Lloyd, ZionImages and MIY Love International.
