The teenage prostitute who NFL Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor was accused of raping said Monday night that she hadn't recognized the Giants great and now doesn't want to "ruin his reputation."
The 16-year-old said she was brought to a Holiday Inn in Rockland County by Rasheed Davis, 36, who she says brutally beat her and forced her to have sex with Taylor.
"He paid me $300 cash to have sex with him," said the petite, curly-haired teen. "I got it over with as quickly as I could. Afterward, all he said was turn off the TV before you go."
Town of Ramapo Police Chief Peter Brower
said the teenager identified Taylor as the man who paid her for
the sex - and a source said he told arresting officers "he had no idea
the girl was underage."
It was a stunning public humiliation for the 51-year-old last Thursday, who currently resides in Pembroke Pines, Fl. Taylor's run-ins with the law and battles with drug addiction have been well-documented as has his impulsive behavior. He has struggled to stay out of trouble since he hung up his cleats in 1993, after his 13-year career with the New York Giants.
Taylor's wife, Lynette, told news sources she believes her husband is innocent and called the whole situation a "setup."
