Teen Sues Mother For Snooping on Facebook
April 10, 2010
An annoyed teenager in Arkansas has reportedly decided to sue his mother for harassment because of her constant Facebook intrusion. The 16-year-old son of Denise New from Arkadelphia, Arkansas claims that she hacked into his Facebook account, changed his password, and even posted things about him that were slanderous.
New said she read things on his Facebook page that suggested he had driven home one night at 95 mph because he was upset with a girl. Discoveries such as this seemed to prompt her Facebook intervention.
Now, the Arkansas mother faces a court date of May 12.
Arkansas harassment law says: "A person commits the offense if with purpose to harass, annoy or alarm another person without good cause, he engages in conduct or repeatedly commits acts that alarm or seriously annoy another person."
But, is Facebook snooping and posting harrassment?
