Two months after it was announced that he won the Nobel Peace Prize 2009, President Obama arrived in Oslo, Norway to accept his award.
On December 10, 2009, President Obama said, "The goal is not to win a popularity contest or to get an award - even one as esteemed as the Nobel Peace Prize. The goal is to advance American interests, make ourselves a continuing force for good in the world - something that we have been for decades now."
