Media mogul Oprah Winfrey announces the ending of the Oprah Winfrey Show in 2011.
The 25th season and an end to a talk show empire will be topped off with a final show on September 9, 2011. Oprah made the announcement on her live show on Friday, November 20.
In the United States alone, the Oprah Winfrey Show is viewed by an estimated 42 million viewers each week. After the production on her daily talks how, Oprah plans to focus on OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network. This will be a 24-hour cable network that reflects her vision.
"I love this show. This show has been my life. And I love it enough to know when it is time to say goodbye," said Winfrey.
