Confessions of a 20 Something: 6 Things To Know About Fab Me!
June 9, 2009By Ana Guthrie

For those who are  familiar with my column, I thought I'd forego my usual upbeat, spiritual write-up for a casual peek into my life. So here goes...

6. I listen to the Jonas Brothers.

Sometimes.
Okay, okay.
All the time.

I sway and sing like Julia Roberts in her bubble-filled tub in Pretty Woman.
(Don't act like you don't know).

5. I have a really bad snoring problem.
I thought my girlfriends were exaggerating.
Until they actually recorded my snoring.
Yeah.
It's not cute.

4. I'm not into Madea...
or any of Tyler Perry's films/plays, for that matter.

3. I don't follow t
he news nearly as much as I should.
Sometimes my mind goes blank when people ask "Hey, Ana, what do you think about the recent XYZ story in the news?"
It's really embarrassing.
I can and will do better about keeping up with current events.
It's funny ‘cause I read a lot.
I think I'm one of the rare people who actually needs to put down some books.
I'm gonna pick up more newspapers.

2. I got a $274 speeding ticket the other day.
Like, do you know how many pairs of Nine West shoes I can buy with that money?!!
And, I'm really bummed because I've never gotten a speeding ticket in all of my 12 years of driving.

Now I have to go to traffic school.

At one of my best friend's folks' traffic school business.

I really hope they don't pick on me during the session.

1. God has been tremendously, deliciously good to me.
 I'm not good enough
or smart enough
or responsible enough
or talented enough
or even cute enough
to have
what I have.
Family
   Friends
     A good job
        Love
           Joy
             Peace
                Good health
                   And a sound mind
It's all Jesus.
My Jesus.
Our Jesus.
And I'm so, so very thankful.
